Fjeldberg – Devotion for September 24th, 2026
READ (Romans 14:1,13)
Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
REFLECT
The bible text today is taken from Romans 14. I picked just two verses to record here, but I think it would be beneficial to read all of Romans 14. For me it opens up the 2 verses picked to a greater extent. How many times I see, hear or read when someone, me included, is pointing out the faults of other people’s thoughts or words. To me Paul’s words in this chapter of Romans directs us to support and encourage other believers whose faith in Jesus may be weaker than ours rather than argue and possibly discourage them and turn them away.
PRAY
Father in heaven, please open my heart and mind for ways to encourage and build up fellow believers rather than discourage them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
