Fjeldberg – Devotion for  June 25th, 2026

READ (Psalm 100:1-2)

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

REFLECT 
Fjeldberg worshippers close our service every Sunday with our shared mission “Grow in Faith, Grow in Community, Share God’s Love”. When we say the words out loud, together, you can hear and feel the power of working together, in community, for a shared mission. 

Do you know what else we do together every Sunday? We sing! Just as the psalmist writes, we come before the Lord with joyful songs. Did you ever stop to think about how our voices join together in song to worship God? It’s not an individual effort, it’s a group effort! One more thing…you won’t find anywhere in the Bible where it says “sing on key” or “sing with your beautiful voice”. God loves to hear every person’s voice raised in gladness. 

So the next time you’re in church for Sunday morning worship, maybe you can put a little more joy in your heart and remember how much God loves to hear your voice. It’s a group effort, and when everyone comes to sing with gladness, we worship the Lord and receive blessings ourselves.

God of music,

Joyful, joyful, we adore You,

God of glory, Lord of love;

Hearts unfold like flow'rs before You,

Op'ning to the sun above.

Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;

Drive the dark of doubt away;

Giver of immortal gladness,

Fill us with the light of day!
