Fjeldberg – Devotion for  June 11th, 2026

READ (Romans 5:1-2)

Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

REFLECT 

Jesus has called us to follow him. So, as disciples, how are we to live? Paul tells us in Romans that our faith has made us right with God. This is amazingly freeing news! Yet, also challenging news.  

The truth is that through our life of discipleship, we get to experience God's grace and forgiveness for our sins. We don't have to do good works to earn God's grace and forgiveness. Since we are freed from sin, we are freed to serve and love our neighbor. Each week, we gather in worship and are filled with the Spirit so that we can go out into our world to share God's love. We are freed from the guilt of missed opportunities to move forward and continue following the Spirit's call to share God's love.  

PRAY   

Good and gracious God, we thank you for freeing us from our sins. Open our eyes and hearts to ways that we can go out and share your love with our neighbors. Give us the courage to follow the call that you have given to us. Amen.
