Fjeldberg – Devotion for  July 7th, 2026

READ (Psalm 118:28-29)

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God, I will extol you. O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

REFLECT 
We once drove past a church sign in Minnesota that read, “This church is prayer-conditioned”. It made me stop and think about the work of the church, the community of faith that gathers together on a regular basis. Doubt crops up in each of us in different seasons and for different reasons, yet “God’s steadfast love endures forever.” When we forget God’s promise, or “lose faith” and doubt, the body of Christ comes around us in prayer and can hold that faith space for us until we can refocus and once again give thanks to the Lord, for God is good.

PRAY   

Creator God, thank you for Fjeldberg Lutheran Church and all places of worship, places of community big enough to hold our doubts and fears along with our faith and praise. Thanks be to God! Amen.
