Fjeldberg – Devotion for January 20th, 2026

READ (1 Corinthians 1:5a, 7)

For in him you have been enriched in every way…Therefore, you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

REFLECT 

God created each and every one of us and has known us even before we were conceived in our mother’s wombs. God gave us all specific gifts according to God’s plans for our lives. But God did not stop there, God promises to be with us wherever we are, providing everything we need. When we are faced with situations where we ourselves don’t have the necessary skills to succeed, God gives us what we need in each other. Throughout the Bible we hear of pairs who accomplished so much together like Moses and Aaron, Ruth and Naomi, Elisha and Elijah, Paul and Timothy, Joseph and Mary. In our relationships with each other, we find God’s grace and abundance, and we can accomplish all things with God and each other.

PRAY   

God of wisdom, it is because of your grace we can continue sharing your light in this world. Grant us the wisdom to seek you in each other and to see the gifts you have planted in each of us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
