Fjeldberg – Devotion for January 6th, 2026

READ (Proverbs 3:5-6)  

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your ways straight.”

REFLECT 

With a New Year the resolutions flow. More exercise and better diet promises lead the list. Historically most of the January resolutions are long forgotten by February. 

This year it would be better to use Proverbs 3:5-6 as our only resolution. If you are truly focused on the Lord, he will see that everything works out for the best.  

PRAY   

Almighty God, too often we try to rely on our own wisdom. Help us in this new year to set aside our notions and focus on your will for our lives. We thank you for the blessings of the past and look forward to those you will provide in the future. Amen
