Fjeldberg – Devotion for January 1st, 2026
READ (Luke 2:15,20)
15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
REFLECT
Happy New Year! We are all waking up to a new year and new resolutions that may or may not make it through the end of the day, week or month. But amid this celebration a lot of us forget what happened just a mere week ago, the Birth of Christ. We are still in the Christmas season and should be thankful for everything and everyone around us.
PRAY
Dear God, Thank you for bringing us Jesus and the joy that brings to all of us. Please be with us all as we begin this new year. In your name we pray. Amen.
