Fjeldberg – Devotion for February 5th, 2026

READ (James 3:17-18)

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

REFLECT 

I don't know about you, but I have always valued wisdom in others, and I strive for it myself. People don't always agree on what messages are wisdom and which are the opposite. This passage gives us a good measuring stick to help us decide which messages are wise, and which are foolishness.

 PRAY   

God of wisdom, help us to remember that wisdom is a gift from you. Remind us to look to you for wisdom in how we live our lives, how we interact with others, and how we use your gifts. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
