Fjeldberg – Devotion for September 24, 2024

READ (John 13:15) For I have set you an example, that you should do as I have done.

REFLECT God is the source of all the gifts and blessings we possess during our earthly walk. How often do we pause in the middle of a busy day to reflect upon God, the giver of all that is material and spiritual, and the giver of salivation through His only son?

As humans in His image, we are fulfilled as we become selfless givers. Sometimes it is difficult to give in a truly sacrificial manner, but once we take the step, we discover how right it is and how deeply satisfied we feel. As God's children, we learn that our gifts in life cannot be hoarded. True happiness comes by discovering and sustaining a legacy of “otherness over oneness”. A life liberated from human selfishness is a gift of the spirit.

PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, We ask for your patience and guidance in our earthly walk of sharing abundance. You have taught us through your Son Jesus to give freely without counting the cost. We pray that nothing keeps us from being conduits of your generosity.
