Fjeldberg – Devotion for July 29, 2025

READ (Isaiah 40:26)
“Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing.”

REFLECT
Every time I see this verse I think about the song How Great is Our God by Chris Tomlin. So how great is our God really? Think about it this way - so great He spoke all of creation into existence with just the power of His voice. So great that He became flesh and lived among us and broke the power of sin and death so that we might be made free and alive to God. So great that even now He is preparing a perfect place for us to live with Him one day even as He continues to provide power and strength for each present moment.

PRAY
Heavenly Father, we come before you in awe, humbled by your greatness. Your power is evident in the vastness of the universe, from the smallest form of life to the largest galaxy. You are the creator of all things, and your wisdom is beyond our comprehension. We thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness, for your mercy and grace that are new every morning. May your will be done in our lives, and may we always walk in your ways. Amen.
