Fjeldberg – Devotion for June 24th, 2025
READ (Jeremiah 29:12)
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
REFLECT
We all wear many hats in life (professional, caregiver, parent, sibling, etc.) Martin Luther said we are both saint and sinner simultaneously. In this world, one person may think we are the best ever. Yet at the same time, someone else thinks we are the worst ever. It’s easy to get lost in what others think of us. When we get tied up in knots over what others think of us, we should strive to remember that no matter what anyone else thinks, no matter what hat we are wearing, saint or sinner, God loves us! God will never turn away from us, God will always be with us, God will always guide us!
PRAY
Faithful God, it is by your grand design that we are relational creatures. When we become distracted by human relationships and lose our focus on you, guide our hearts back to you. Strengthen us to be your light and love in this world. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
