Fjeldberg – Devotion for December 30th, 2025

READ (2 Corinthians 5:17)  

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!  

REFLECT 

As the final day of the year arrives, our hearts naturally turn toward what’s ahead. We think about fresh starts, new habits, and the hope that the coming year will be better than the last. There’s something powerful about beginnings; they remind us that change is possible.

But long before the calendar offered us January 1st, God gave us a deeper promise of new beginnings. Through Jesus’ death on the cross, God made a way for sin to be forgiven and for lives to be made new. That didn’t just open the door to a better future someday—it opened the door to renewal every single day.  

PRAY   

Loving God, as we enter a new year, thank You for new beginnings and mercy that renews us daily. Shape our hearts, guide our steps, and help us trust what’s ahead, knowing our hope is in You and You are always with us. Amen.
