Fjeldberg – Devotion for July 18, 2024

READ (Proverbs 3:5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

REFLECT Many times I see what is going on in the world and wonder- why is God letting these things happen or letting people do what I think are terrible things. But then, I remember this verse, or others like it, and realize how small my understanding is and how great God’s understanding is. It is sad when I limit God in my mind to what I can grasp or understand. I need to remember that He has everything in control and continue to ask Him to open my heart and mind to understand what He wants me to understand and have faith in Him always.

PRAY: Dear God, please forgive me for my lack of understanding and increase my trust and faith in you. In Jesus’ name - Amen
