And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

REFLECT

Today’s Bible Text is toward the end of Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Paul is telling them basically to focus on good and not bad. There are so many times I can find myself doing just the opposite. With social media and TV news, I find myself really paying too much attention to the bad things going on in our world. There are so many bad things going on right now. But then, I realize there are so many good things going on as well. I need to step back from only seeing and listening to the bad. I need to open my ears and mind and heart to the good things happening around the world as well.

PRAY

Only true God, help me to look for the good in our world and help me remember you have the perfect plan for us all.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
