READ (Matthew 5:16)

In the same way, let your light shine before people, so they can see the good things you do and praise your Father who is in heaven.

REFLECT

We need Jesus. Our neighbors need Jesus. We ALL need to know the life-changing and life-giving love of God that entered into our world through Jesus! Part of our life as disciples is to be the people pointing our neighbors to Jesus. I don't mean that in a creepy way, but by letting Christ's light shine in all that we do. How do the words you use or actions you take point people to Jesus? 

As we begin a new school year and routines change, this is a perfect time to evaluate how we are sharing the light of Christ. The good news is that we don't have to do this alone; we are sent out into this world to be a light, and the Holy Spirit is giving us the strength to point people to Jesus and to be a light. Remember that Christ's light shines through you and that light gives us all life.  

PRAY   
Almighty God, give us the courage to be a light in our world to point to you. To share your love with those who need it and give us the ability to trust your goodness and the ways you are working in our world. Amen
