Fjeldberg – Devotion for August 6th, 2026

READ (Psalm 86:11-13)

Teach me your way, LORD, so that I can walk in your truth. Make my heart focused only on honoring your name. I give thanks to you, my Lord, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever, because your faithful love toward me is awesome and because you've rescued my life from the lowest part of hell.

REFLECT 

How often do we actually ask God to teach us HIS way so we can walk in His Truth? Jesus came to do exactly that—to teach us how to live and to love our neighbors. Do we ask God to make our hearts focused only on honoring Him? Or are we distracted by the world around us, by social media, by politics, by our desires for more of everything? 

Each day we need to give thanks to God and glorify his name for all the blessings he has provided and for His awesome, faithful love. He has rescued my life and yours by the gift of his only Son, Jesus Christ. He has given each of us grace for each day when we fail or when we stumble in our lives. He still loves us, picks us up and holds us in his loving embrace.  

PRAY   

Awesome and merciful God! We thank you for your faithful love and for the gift of your glorious Son, Jesus Christ. We ask that you teach us Your Way. Help us to live each day in Your Truth. Help us to love and serve our neighbors and forgive us by your grace when we fail. We love you, God! In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
