Devotions-December 2nd 2025

Fjeldberg – Devotion for December 2nd, 2025
READ (Proverbs 3:5-6)
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart, don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go, he’s the one who will keep you on track.”
REFLECT
Grieving is hard work! Whether it be the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, home or whatever disrupts your present life. The present goes dark-confusion reigns, as you struggle to make sense of the void in your life.
Thanks be to God for his angels—family, friends, church family, who remind us to “TRUST IN GOD” and not try to figure everything out on our own. However, trust is difficult.
Trust is letting go—allowing another to be in charge. WOW!!!
What if that “other” doesn’t do it my way?
We trust that the sun will shine (or try to) each day; that water will come out of the faucet when we turn it on. Yet, we have difficulty trusting our creator that he will guide, nudge and direct us on our life’s journey.
We have hurts, losses, pain and confusion along the way.
If only we can remember to be still, listen and follow his nudges-the darkness, confusion will begin to disappear and the light emerges, as we trust in God who loves and cares for us. The God who gave us life and beautiful memories will never abandon us, but will give us peace, as we listen to the whispers and feel the nudges of the angels in our midst.
PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for always being near and accessible—for feeling our pain and uplifting us by sending angels to share your message of love. Help us in return to be renewed to be one of your helpers for others.
In Christ’s name, Amen.
