Faith formation does not end when one is baptized or is confirmed.  Rather, maturing in faith is the responsibility of all Christians at all stages of life.  To this end, Fjeldberg offers a number of opportunities to grow in faith.  We encourage not only membership, but discipleship!
Fjeldberg Service Group:
This group strives to build a closer Church community through Bible study, prayer, member support, and group service projects.

Women’s Study Group:
This group meets from 7-8:30AM on Saturday mornings for mothers and wives who have family activities later in the evening or later in the day on Saturday to attend. We discuss women’s and family issues and what the Bible has to say about them, have prayer, and sharing time.

Fellowship & Study Small Group:
This group is for couples or singles who would like to join us for a weekly or biweekly Bible study. We meet on Thursday nights at Fjeldberg. Together we will learn from God's word, find joy in fellowship, and support each other in our prayers. 

Upper Room Group:
The "Upper Room" group (above the Church library) meets from 9:45 -10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings. After enjoying treats and conversation to start the hour, this group's Bible study is based on the gospel lesson for that Sunday. Our Bible studies reinforce the pastor's message at worship and deepen our understanding of the gospel lesson. You are welcome to join our group anytime.  If you can only come occasionally, that's OK, too - but we think if you try it, you will find yourself wanting to come back. With good friends by your side and a well written Bible study to strengthen your faith walk, this time together is a favorite hour of the "Upper Room" group men and women. Women of the ELCA Monthly Bible Study:
The women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s mission is to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ. The Fjeldberg women of the ELCA meet monthly for a Bible study using the study published in the magazine “Lutheran Woman Today.” Every woman of Fjeldberg is invited to attend any of the monthly Bible study groups.
  • Naomi Bible Study Group meets the Second Thursday each month from 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Fjeldberg
  • Mary Circle at Ballard Creek meets the Second Thursday each month from 1:30 p.m. at Ballard Creek Community
  • Rebekah Bible Study Group meets the Second Sunday each month from 9:45 a.m. at the home of Marilyn Greene

Adult Sunday School:
Adults gather between worship services on Sunday mornings in the Fireside Room. They’d love to have you stop in and join them for an hour of sharing experiences, prayer and studying scripture. No experience is needed.

Sewing Circle:
Sewing Circle meets every Tuesday for an afternoon of quilting and fellowship. All levels of quilting experience welcome. Sewing Circle assembles quilts to be distributed by Lutheran World Relief to those in need locally and around the world. 

Joy Seekers:
JOY (Just Older Youth) Seekers: are a group of people who participate in field trips to places like Kansas City or Pella, dine at local restaurants, visits Reiman Gardens and enjoy Christian fellowship. The group selects where they would like to go and an invitation goes out to members of the congregation to join them. This is an every-other month event.
